Eye examinations.
We provide comprehensive eye examinations which assess your vision, eye movements and ocular health. We will check your eyes for macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and other eye diseases. As part of a full eye exam we also scan the retina at the back of your eyes with our Topcon Maestro OCT. We take the time to explain our findings and discuss your options to tailor eyecare solutions to your needs. We allocate 40-50 minutes for your full eye exam.
Contact lens fitting.
We fit both rigid and soft contact lenses, including lenses for presbyopia, keratoconus and myopia control. We use a wide range of lenses from different manufacturers to ensure the best fit for your eyes and are always happy to discuss alternative options.
OCT retinal scanning.
Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanning is becoming increasingly important in eyecare and we are proud to incorporate a scan in our routine eye exams. The OCT scanner not only photographs your retina, but also looks into the deeper layers of the retina, allowing us to make more accurate clinical decisions and detect eye disease sooner. This in turn helps preserve our customer's vision for longer.
Visual field testing.
Our Medmont M700 automated visual field tester helps us detect blind spots or less sensitive areas of the visual field in front of you. This is very helpful in our patients who have suffered strokes or head injuries, as well as assisting us in monitoring glaucoma. This test is generally administered by our Optometrists and takes around 30 minutes.
